10 Year Vow Renewal Event and Weekend Information

If you were given this website, it means you’re one of our favorite people who have supported us to achieving ten years!

When we got married, we took a moment and looked at the faces of all of the people who could attend and support us in our bond (and had those in our heart who weren’t there). We were so appreciative to know that we had such an amazing group of people who loved and supported us. In taking our vows we committed to each other, but we also acknowledged the support from our friends and family (our framily as we call it) that would aid us in our commitment to each other.

Over the last 10 years Scott and I have faced many challenges and endured events that were beyond what was anticipated. We have lost some who were there the day of the wedding (either in person, or over livestream for those who were unable to be there). We also lost the ability to have children. We have faced many challenges, started a business in the days of covid, cared for my grandfather in his final years, we lost our dog Nala - who was here on our wedding day and spent three years in hormonal insanity through IVF. Together, we kept going. The thing that held us through that journey was our framily.

10 years seems like a huge achievement to us, many of you have made it far further in that journey and are well past 10, (we’ll take tips for success😉). Stopping and really recognizing our 10 years and the framily that got us there is very important to us. Going back to where we initially made our vows and renewing those vows after the first 10 years of our journey is very important to us. After fighting our fights, celebrating our victories and looking at the faces that helped get us there is important. We are so excited to celebrate together!

Accommodations: We rented a house through VRBO and Aspen accommodations vary dramatically. From 5 star luxury boutique hotels to locals renting out their rooms for the weekend there are dramatic price variations. There is not really a standard basic hotel but instead numerous smaller accommodations. Aspen is a small mostly walkable town that is the perfect backdrop for an intimate weekend to really enjoy time with our friends and family. For those who do not want to drive, please stay in downtown Aspen. If you plan on drinking please be mindful and either stay in town, plan on ordering Uber or look into public transportation - which can take you down valley to Snowmass/Carbondale/Basalt/Glenwood Springs. If you want to stay down valley outside of Aspen there are Snowmass, Carbondale, Basalt and Glenwood Springs! Listed in order from closest to furthest away and all are beautiful drives. Since Aspen is a small town with many boutique hotels and it is peak leaf viewing room blocks were not available. We have been fortunate enough to spend quite a bit of time in Aspen and love it and the small mountain town vibe. It is a fairly bougie town full of great food, shopping, and so much to do. If you haven’t been to Aspen before it is a great plae to take a long weekend.

September 24th, 2026 - September 28th, 2026

Thursday - Scott and Erica’s actual anniversary day. We will arrive in Aspen check-in to our place and have a quiet dinner

Friday - Enjoy the town, many great restaurants and art galleries to visit, dinner at our VRBO (121 Robinson Rd, Aspen CO 81611) starting at 5:00 - please let us know if you will be joining to ensure I have enough food! (Casual red and green chili with tamales, tortillas and noodles. Both spicy and mild or mix to your desire between the two)

Saturday - The Big Day!!!!

Dress Attire is Colorado Mountain Cocktail - somewhere between a sparkly cocktail dress and a sundress for girls and dress shirt or suit jacket with jeans for guys - cowboy boots are a great option!

11:00 - Get ready for the big cruiser ride to the renewal! - Leaving from 121 Robinson Rd, Aspen.

Parking is limited at the Park, Recommended parking at the smuggler Mountain Trailhead, 401 Co Rd 421, Aspen, CO 81611

Appetizers and an early dinner with ice cream bar (because who wants cake when ice cream is an option?) and fun after cocktails!

Dependent on weather we will either be out on a beautiful patio or indoors. As long as it’s not raining or snowing remember to bring a shawl or jacket to be able to enjoy the beautiful location!

Sunday

No activities planned - however we will be in town and will certainly find something to do if anyone wants to join.

Recommended Activities in Aspen:

We always enjoy wandering the town, lots of boutiques for shopping, fantastic art galleries, and interesting historical hotels, bars and coffee shops. Favorite restaurants are Home team Barbeque, White house tavern, the Grateful deli, Clarks Oyster bar, New York Pizza, Poppycocks, Crepe therapy, Petit trios…….

Maroon Bells is another Highly Recommended Destination, however the shuttle is sold out for the fall color weekend.
